Bodge\, CFE\, CFCI\, CIAFP\, CIFI\, SCLA\n            SIU Case Manager\n            Nationwide Insurance\n            \n\n            Steve Bodge has over 30 years of SIU experience and currently is responsible for leading the identification and investigation of complex fraud cases in multiple states.\n            Steve is a former law enforcement officer and detective with the Parkersburg WV Police Department. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and Fairmont State University. For over 25 years he served as an adjunct criminal justice instructor at WVU Parkersburg and has extensive experience in developing and presenting training at the local\, regional and national level.\n            He is a Certified Financial Crimes Investigator\, Certified Fraud Examiner\, and a Certified Insurance Fraud Investigator. In 2023 he was named the SIU Leader of the Year by the International Association of Special Investigation Units.\n                                             Topic:          Economic Exploitation of the Elderly                        Objectives:                     Elder fraud cost Americans over the age of 60 more than $966 million in 2020\, according to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3). Here and in other countries\, it's a growing problem as criminals increasingly use online scams to target older adults\, especially those who are living alone.
